I noticed this behavior already with cyberlink in graphedit. But it looks like Indervideo keeps the settings. I know you don't like the intervideo mux because it's result is not the best one.
ATM the recording service on my gbpvr server chrashes as soon as it should record something via intervideo muxer. The logs say, it cannot connect some pins. Maybe my system is messed up upon my testing various muxers. It's very anoying, that high bitrate recordings get out of lips-sync on my MVP when I FF/REW or skip.

Yeah, dont use the intervideo mux. Its crappy. I'm guessing they've changed something in the newest versions that cause this crash, but I havnt looked into it (but have seen a couple of reports).

Would you take a look at it if i post you my logs tomorrow. I'm at work ATM.

I also noticed that newer muxer filters only get registrated under category "Software Multiplex Renderer" or something similar...

Yeah, looks like the new version of the Intervideo mux doesnt use the same pin names.

Quote:17:02:26.307 VERBOSE About to connect recording graph to mux
17:02:26.339 VERBOSE ConnectPins: 'Video' to 'Input0'
17:02:26.932 VERBOSE ConnectPins failed: hr = 80040217
17:02:26.932 VERBOSE ConnectPins: 'Audio' to 'Input1'
17:02:26.932 VERBOSE Dest pin for connect not found
17:02:26.932 VERBOSE ConnectPins failed: hr = 80004005
17:02:26.932 VERBOSE ConnectPins: 'Output0' to 'Input'
If you can use GraphEdit to check the pin names, then I'll update it so the next release works with it.

I cannot find any other pins than you already utilize. There's pin named "Input0" and one "Output0". Just two, not three!

The second input would typically not be created until the first input is connected.

Based on your comments that the pin names are correct, this makes me think maybe Intervideo is added some logic to ensure unlicensed apps (like GB-PVR) cant connect to their mux.

I would agree if ver 1.0.1 of intervideo muxer wouldn't behave the same. No joke, tried it just for fun...

You could always see if you can make a graph in graphedit that can use this filter. I suspect it wont let you.
