Can someone that has this problem please try the attached patch for a few days and let me know? I dont know why exactly is triggering this to occur, but the attached patch should hopefully stop it from creating duplicate channels and generally messing up your TV Guide.

That sounds great sub,
I'll load up 97.x on one of my systems tomorrow and give it a try.

Thanks!

Great work. I was having this problem also. I tried the patch you posted and all is happy again! Thanks for the fix.

I updated the channels, and had 2 still messed up. So I went to the channel configs under my capture source and deleted and re added them. When I updated the second time, all was well.

how do we apply that patch? just rename the file in the zip to .dll and overwrite the existing one in the install dir?

a_dee,

There is a problem downloading zip files from the forum using IE.
The file within the zip you downloaded is actually another zip. Just extract and rename to zip - then you can extract the DLL from there.

GBPVR.MDB can be modified using Microsoft Access or any database program that can work with .mdb files.

I have the same problem -- lots of extra channels that don't work properly. I can see them in table source_channel_mapping but am not sure which entries to remove, and how that would affect table "channel." When I try to edit "channel" it warns me that it is related to source_channel_mapping and cannot be modified.

Some guidance in how to directly edit source_channel_mapping would be appreciated.

Sub - I am having the same issues described in this thread... Can you repost the GBPVRBackendCommon.zip file ? I was not able to open it - both winzip and XP said it was a corrupted file...

Thanks,
Jigster...

The zip file is fine. Some Internet Explorer users have problems downloading zip files from this web server. Either try disabling HTTP 1.1 extensions in your browser settings, or download it with some other browser.
