sassari v0.1 released - 16:9-skin

Not sure if you will be around to see this but I wanted to say that the font size of the Video Archive menu is WAY too small. In fact, I can't read the text unless I highlight the individual recordings. Also, the Dark Blue text overlay doesn't contrast very well against the lighter blue background. Just thought you should know.

daphatty, try editing the skin yourself, it really isnt that hard to change simple stuff like font size and colors. just edit that xml file.
however trying to skin a whole plugin, that should be fun. since I want to be able to use the theatre phugin in sassari, so I am going to try to skin it myself, I will let everyone know how it works, maybe dottore could use it

ok so here is my skin for the theater plugin, its just in the Theater folder, so you will need to unzip this to the sassari directory

just FYI the plugin is currently hardcoded to 720x480, so the skin is limited to that, thats why it doesnt look so good, but hey this looks better than no theater plugin at all doesnt it

EDIT: fixed the skin (button images were reversed) and included the right zip file

I downloaded the "new" version of Sassari yesterday. Wonderful. I love it. Keep up the good work! (Although my wife says it's confusing the way the navigation on the main menu works - she wants the menu items to scroll smoothly to the right (or left) when she presses the arrows on the remote )

Welcome back Dottore, i dont know if this has been mentioned before or planning in your next release. Can you have your beautiful Skin include weather and news feed in the front panel? i would love for this to happen and thanks for the great work you and others are doing.

welcome back Dottore, the theater plugin was no problem, it will take more work if it is changed to allow a different screen resolution.

if you dont mind I might try adding weather to the main menu, see how it looks, if I like it (and you approve) I will post the skin.xml file
