sub Wrote:zehd, I dont know. I'd have to put it down to either the version of the intervideo decoder you're using, a bug with its hardware acceleration, or ffdshow generating that garbage.

You definitely have something like vobsub that generating subtitles as well though, which will need to be disabled or you'll see two sets. There is the slightly possibility it plays some part in this corruption you're seeing (since vobsub processes each frame of video to write its subtitles onto the video itself).

Since I've never tried to use vobsub, where might I enable/disable it?

Edit, I conffirm I have it, but I have never played with it...

I'm not that familiar with it myself, but I know some versions create a tray icon when they're showing subtitles - you can click on that to get at it's settings. I think there is a way to disable it in there. Alternatively, I think some standalone install versions created a start menu shortcut for configuring it.

or deregister the vob sub .ax file.

@sub. Actually I got it turned off. You were spot on thanks... Working fine...

Now, I can actually have SRTs and CC run at the same time or as chosen in config.

CRTL Y turns off SRTs. Do you have any plans to have a real-time on off for CC?

Thanks for your help

dvasco Wrote:Does anybody have admin rights for the Wiki? I just emailed blader asking for them. The Wiki should have a link to examples of roll-up and links to mpg2srt and notes to add mpg2srt %1 to postprocessing.bat and place mpgsrt.exe in the gbpvr directory if srt is desired. It should also have a note that the CC can be extracted to srt with mpg2srt on 150's , 500 and 250's without registry tricks. We should also note that srt is available on the MVP but CC is not. I just remembered this thread as I was writing this. So the roll-up CC is easier to read with those changes on the server, but I don't think the MVP can be set. I need to look up on that. My problem then was I didn't know I could toggle SRT. I had even stated it would be nice to be able to do. We also need the Yellow button and CTRL-Y notes for toggling SRT. Can anyone try toggling SRT on the MVP and let us know the results? I'm not at home right now.

Have you or anyone else started writing a page. I have a access privs and would help....

Sub, what font do you use for SRT? Is there a listing in config.xml to change the font and size and position?

There are skin settings that determine the font/position/size. See OSD\skin.xml

No, I haven't. Would you mind? Keep in mind Smoker and Pastro see errors in their SRT subtitles. Also, even though I figured out how to place roll-up subtitles to the left so they don't shoot-out to the sides they still don't display as good as CC. Therefore CC from a PVR250/350 is still preferred.

May I suggest you reply to messages with the quote button, so we know what thought you are following up on.

Was this directed at my question about a wiki page...?
