ok here is my weather panel addition



I made some tweaks, hope you dont mind dottore. I made them in all the skin files (skin, normal, va)

• I shifted the clock 5 pixels to the right, because wednesday double digit times were getting pushed off the screen.
  
• I made the vertical size of the next recording panel 160 pixels, since thats all it was actually using.
  
• oh I added the weather panel, put it right below the next recording/va panel. note for va skin the weather covers the GB-PVR logo some.

yeah everyone who uses this let me know how you like it. If you dont like it dont say it sucks, say WHY it sucks and what I could do to make it better :p

dottore, let me know if you want me to change the skins for nuoro, or if you can do that, since its really just the one line addition of the weather panel. also I will make all the inital changes that people request, but at what point do you want to take over updating the skin, if ever?

ok so how to add this to sassari, unzip the zip file to the sassari skin folder (please back up your originals, in case I screwed something up)

Sweet, Good job fellas. One question, do you guys know why my Video plugin for VA does not show in the menu? Also, one more request, can you make the news feed va panel also? i'd love for this to be implemented.

does another skin have the news feed? like plainjane? if it does then I can probably skin it to work with sassari, however, in trying to keep this stuff to the right of the divider, I will end up covering that graphic.

I dont know about VA, since I dont use it, but I might try it since I am having minor troubles with the colors of buttons in the recordings screen

and can I make a request from dottore to get a higher quality red version of the background or the source unflattened PNG so I can change to colors myself

Contour Series has this, can the VA panel be placed under the buttons so it can scroll just beneath the buttons so it wont cover the graphic? I noticed the weather panel, my city is kinda long and the state abbreviation kinda got cut by the cloud, can you tell me what to tweak in the xml file to fix this? thanks

if you want to go editing the va panel xml file, then go ahead, just put them all next to eachother.

you can lower the font size, (city uses small) you can make the image smaller and move it over, giving you room to make a larger text area for the city.

to be honest, just read the skin files, guess at what you think needs changing, change it, if that doesnt work undo your change. that is how I am learning to skin stuff right now. how about you try doing the news panel, just look at the skin that has it included and modify it so it will work with sassari

I am starting to skin the My Programs plugin for sassari (I wanted to play emulators). is there a desire for this plugin to be skinned?
Anyone who has skinned it before (or reven), why is there a bunch of movie information in a program plugin? and can you get it do show the cover of a game for an emulator? do you have to have the cover of the game in the same dir with the same name or something? any other nuances I should be aware of?
