In my case tuning is in less than 2 seconds. I am using NewCS 1.65 and Acamd 0618.
I am not using the built in EPG but XMLTV. It seems that you can set your own settings from what channel EPG data is picked up. It should not be different from what you are getting now or you made a mistake somewhere Wink
The benefit is in the fact that it is now very easy to have 4 (or more) dvb tunercards all working with softcam without too much problems in getting it running.

If you have a solution (and description) how to make 3 decrypted recordings at the same time from 3 separate tuners within GBPVR using softcam there is of course no need for me to use TVSource. My understanding till now is that within GBPVR this was impossible because only one instance of the GbpvrRecordingService is running, i.e. only one show at a time could be decrypted.

That is correct, so from that point of view it is a great advantage. Currently I'm only running two tuners, one with a HW CAM and one with softcam, but for some channels (the HD-channels in particular) I'm totally dependent of DVB-EPG since I cannot find any xmltv source for them. I haven't looked closly at the epg problem with dvblink, maybe there is a solution. I'm using the same versions of Acamd and NewCS, but channel switching is MUCH slower here, can have something to do with the Cinergy C PCI HD card, but it changes channel quite fast in gbpvr.

You should have a look at MC2XML. It uses the Microsoft(!) EPG data from WMC. EPG data is available for cable and sat and generates a XMLTV file which can be used by GBPVR or TVSource. Works very fast. It retrieves EPG data in just a couple of seconds.
I am using TechnoTrend 1501-C cards and channel switching with the softcam is much faster than with the HW Cam (Alphacrypt Classic). If I am saying switching is in < 2 seconds I am still pessimistic Big Grin

Postcode is 2800 (2819) and it is Canal Digital that provides the signals.

I am currently using a combination of xmltv and the channels not supported by that one I have set up TVxb (that has a feature to read download the channels you set up and then read another xmltv-file and merge the two into one file). It works quite well but I do not get genre-information from TVxb.

Is this what you need? Look for the (example) programs with id I22.751240. That should be National Geographic. Have used -c no -g 2819 and used provider 0. As far as I can see it has your required channels. The HD postfix is missing but are the shows the same as the SD channels? I know that Eurosport has exactly the same programs for SD and HD but are not sure about NGC etc.

Sorry no, that's exactly the same as I got. Discovery, Nat.geo. and History channels has totally different schedule on the HD cahnnels, so the SD progremme is not useble.

Have you checked out TVxb?
The ini-file for Norway is a bit outdated but is easy to edit.
