1. Yes

2. The easiest way would be to put the comskip proxy in your GBPVR directory, that way you don't have to do anything to your postprocessing.bat. When it calls comskip, the proxy will run SE on the recording instead.

3. Works the same as comskip. If you don't have auto commercial skip enabled on BPVR, just hit play to skip.

4. Yes.

2. Enable Showanalyzer in gbpvr's config, and disable comskip.
Remove (or REM) the line in postprocessing.bat that referrs to comskip.
You do NOT need comskip proxy with the new version of gbpvr.

Since my older version of GBPVR didn't include the auto commercial skip option, I did a fresh install of the latest version. I haven't tried Showanalyzer before. I installed SE and the mpeg decoders and enabled SE in the GBPVR config. I didn't include Comskip in the new install. I recorded a program last night, but got no commercial detection. I attempted to install Comskip proxy, but when I tried to extract the files, I got a message that the file was corrupted. My next step will be to try to remove the line from postprocessing.bat that refers to Comskip, as suggested by Reboot.
Where do I find postprocessing.bat? There is no file by that name in my GBPVR directory.

You will have to create it yourself, so I guess if you don't have it you can't remove that line =)

Do I need to create a postprocessing.bat for Showanalyzer to work? I don't remember doing so when I used Comskip.

Yes it does. It will be slower, but it will work.

On a side note, I haven't responded to the other questions about setting it up in GBPVR because... well... I just don't know. Smile

There are 3 ways to run SA from gbpvr.
1) Enable it in config.
2) Run it via postprocessing.bat
3) Run it using Jere's other great app, Dirmon. <--I love this!

If you use #1, it will run when a show is finished recording, unless you have paid for it, then you can run it during the recording, and it will finish much sooner.

If you use #2, you must DISable it in config, otherwise it will try to run twice, maybe even at the same time.

If you use #3, you must DISable it in config, and do NOT have it in postprocessing.bat

@ Jere. Is it possible you can have dirmon ignore the recycle bin/recycler? I hate when I delete something from the folder that dirmon is monitoring, and dirmon thinks there's a new recording in recycler, and starts up again.

Just to make sure I understand correctly, you have the root directory added and process subdirectories selected? And it finds show in the recycle bin?

Interesting. I will certainly address this (although you may have to remind me at some point).

Exactly. On an NTFS drive, windows creates a folder called "Recycler" which is different than the standard Recycle Bin.
I have dirmon set to a root drive (strictly for all my recordings. With 5 tuners, they pile up quickly), and process subdirectories.
I happen to have system folders hidden on the PVR, but using dirmon to run SA, if I delete a recording (after I've edited it, and saved elsewhere), dirmon thinks the recycler contains a new recording, and starts SA to process it.
I have dirmon polling at 10 minute intervals, with no processing during my waking hours (so it processes over night), and it's strange to wake up to a recycle bin that's 10x it's size with processed recordings Big Grin
