I have been unsuccessful in installing the MVP patch. I always get the "JIT debugger not installed" error. I am running 96.12, and have tried it with .NET 1 & 2 together and separately.

Anyone have any ideas? I've searched the forum without success.

Try to delete the config.xml and replace it with config master.
just remember to have a copy of config master before you rename
it to config.xml

This has happend to me when the config file is corrupt.

Didn't change anything unfortunately, I purchased another PVR 150 at Circuit City, so I will probably just strip everything out and re-install the whole thing.

I'll have to try the patch either this evening or tomorrow. I'd like to add the data point that along with experiencing much of what is reported here, I also experienced almost immediate reboots when hitting pause during live tv of the final NCAA game last night while using the gbpvr.bin, (not dongle.bin).

Install the driver for your new PVR-150 manually go into the device manager and right click and update the driver to the location you had for the one you're using prior.

Did the above and still didn't work. I noticed that Microsoft just released an update to .NET 1.1, that installed. Still no change. I had to revert for sanity sake, the second card is installed thanks to Tipstirs other post!

I got a PVR 150 a few days ago and found GBPVR seems to work really well. I found an MVP for 40 bucks on Craigslist and couldn't pass up the convenience.
SUB, congrats on a really slick interface it worked amazingly well and the MVP recognized GBPVR and it came up on the screen first try.
But, I had a number of reboots while I was watching a prerecorded episode of THE UNIT. I think that my reboots occurred while I was Fast Forwarding. I did not know enough about the logging to know what file to send or attach. Just thought that I would add another data point.
Couple questions though:
Where do I find the older version of GBPVR? I would like to try one an see if my problem goes away.
What does the GB stand for? (Great Britain?)
Also is there a convenient way to start a program recording and then start watching, say, 10 minutes in so I can skip the commercials? I haven't tried but can I go to live TV while recording and just backup to the beginning of the episode?
Thanks a lot for a great program.

Did you apply the patch that was made available earlier in this thread?

I no longer have them. I've long since deleted them of my webserver.

No, its my initials.

You can go into the recordings screen and "play" a recording that is still in progress. I do this quite often myself.

Thanks Sub I will try out the patch tonight when I get home from work.
GBPVR is really great. I can't believe that you maintain the code on your own. Also don't know if anyone has mentioned it but it is really great that it is fairly small. When I first got my PVR150 I tried out snapstream and man was it huge and sluggish. So thanks again

Hi there. Well I have just recently started using GBPVR again after a break.
The principal reason I have been using it is to try to get my MVP working but it is really not too stable for me - certainly I feel happy to get through a 1/2 hour programme without an MVP reset.

This evening I captured the following in the log files at the time of failure:
24/04/2006 20:41:56.272 ERROR [52] Media stream thread caught exception: Specified cast is not valid.
24/04/2006 20:41:56.342 ERROR [52] at xae10db17d26ba033.xbb1566157f5f8b1f.xf9d81bb81f7c2ff0()

For background, I am running with the patches identified in this thread, and I have tried both standard and gbpvr dongle. The network is lightly loaded.

Let me know if there is any other information I can provide.

The patch works fine on my system. I had frequent resets of the MVP (especially with MusicLibrary 2 plugin), but they appear to be gone now.
I also noticed that memory usage seems to have diminished.
