Is anyone working on a torrent plug-in? I've seen mention of it on a wishlist, and I was wondering if anyone has made any progress or come up with any ideas?
What I'm envisioning is something like "Search Guide" that would instead use 1 or more RSS feeds to populate the data. You could then highlight the torrent to download it (on low priority) and when it finished downloading, it would appear in the "Video Library" area. One possible problem is that sometimes torrents aren't in a great format for immediate viewing (might be a bin/cue VCD or something).
If no one is working on this, I would be happy to give it a shot. I've never worked on GB-PVR plugins before, but I am a professional developer by trade, and I think a project like this is fairly reasonable for 1 guy to pull off.
Additionally, has anyone looked into possible 3rd party apps that function well when launched from GB-PVR and can do something like what I described above without having to plug in a keyboard and mouse? I haven't come across a torrent client that is "PVR" friendly yet.
Thanks,
Matt
