so i'm setting reoccuring recording times..

i made 2 that starts next monday.
1 records at 21:30-22:00
the other records at 23:30-00:00

right after that i went to check conflicts.. apparently the second one is conflicting with the first one

they both have the same record name and channel but the second record is an hour and a half after the first one. how would that affect it?

and another thing i've notice.. when its recording and i do something on the computer, the video is fine for the first few minutes and the rest of the video seems corrupted.

my system is an Athlon64 3200+ based system with 1GB of RAM. and its using a Sapphire Theatrix 550 TV Tuner so i'm pretty sure my system is more than capable of multitasking. cept not when GBPVR is recording a show, well it can but the recorded show would be 90% corrupted.

Hi,

GB-PVR is capable of many interesting things when conflicts are involved. I am sorry I can't help you, but I would recommend you try to remove both, and try to set them in reverse order.

I've see GBPVR complain about a show that has a conflict and when you try to Resolve it you will see that it conflicts with nothing.

and the record type...

"Record Every Week" mean it records every specific day of the week right?
like if the start date is a monday it would record every monday right ?

if so.. apparently a recording on tuesday at the same time as a recording on monday is a conflict

I don't know if it's a skinning variable or not, but when it shows the conflicts, is it possible to show the times as well? It should show the times of both shows.

This seems like a silly question at first, but due to the 90 min "buffer", it's possible to have false conflicts.

Showing the exact times, rather than the time range will be more helpful.

theres no conflict if i set it to record mondays to fridays. but i dont want to record on fridays. just monday to thursday. so i'd have to set it up 1 by 1.

so monday @ 9:30-10:00
tuesday @ 9:30-10:00
wednesday @ 9:30-10:00
thursday @ 9:30-10:00
so i set it up 4 times for 4 different days of the week at that time..

conflict window shows
manual recording - 5/9/2006 9:30-10:00pm
manual recording - 5/9/2006 9:30-10:00pm
manual recording - 5/10/2006 9:30-10:00pm

it shows 5/9/2006 time twice even tho its set once..

and dont know why its saying theres a conflict with the 5/10/2006 one..

i dont think it showed what its conflicting with tho.

No. You should only get a conflict when two recordings overlap, and no other tuner is available to record the show.

I think this buffer you're referring to is the timeslot window. This is just used to identify shows are candidates to schedule. It is not related to the times a recording will run.

It does show the exact time. Are you talking Recordings screen in GB-PVR, or some other plugin or web admin? The Recordings screen shows the exact time.

zip and email over your gbpvr.mdb file to me at support@devnz.com and I'll have a look in your database.
