I exchanged the entire package. Everything works fine except the remote/IR receiver. Ever since I hooked-up my S-Video to the TV-out on my video card it has not worked, but I don't what connection with the IR receiver that would have.
It shouldn't have any at all unless you somehow ruined the connector. But that shouldn't be the case since you exchanged all the parts and it still doesn't work. Is there any way you can try it on another computer?
Btw, did you double check that your setting in gbpvr is to use the hauppauge remote (and not direct access or usb-uirt or anything else...)? That wouldn't explain why it doesn't work in wintv2000, though... :/
@stefan - I must remark that at one point I had a CyberLink remote, and when I configured GBPVR to use "MCE Remote" (this is what it takes to use the CyberLink), then both the CyberLink and my Hauppauge worked at the same time (each with its own receiver).
@h00ch - Can you try to use the debug method? I.e. do the following:
Start => Run
Type "notepad.exe Debug.txt" + ENTER.
Now try the buttons and see what happens. For me (and anyone else who has a working Hauppauge remote), pressing a key results in the name of the key appearing in the notepad.
One more idea - I have a WinTV-PVR350 and also a 150. I installed the 150's IR software last, so I must put the receiver into the 150's socket. If I use the 350's socket - no response.
When you say you installed the driver / app, you mean "ir32_245_22350.exe", right?
If you open the Device Manager, do you have any devices with the yellow exclamation mark?

You are probably right. I've never tried it. It was just one of those things that I thought was easy to check
I believe the "notepad.exe Debug.txt" will provide a good clue.
If h00ch sees nothing, the problem is with the drivers, the card, or something.
If he sees something, it's gotta be in GBPVR, or in config.
I assume the notepad window must be in focus then to work? And I assume that's not the problem with h00ch in the beginning, right? You *do* have gbpvr as the focused application? =)
