Sorry, you'll need to stick with v0.96 if you want to continue to use the PVR350 tv out.

Is there a reason for this? Am I missing something? Should i be doing it another way?

Has anyone tried this fix yet? My wife will kill me if I break my PVR. lol... and is only the tvout not supported? will recording still work if I upgrade and move to a MVP type of setup?

Yes, it's only the tv-out. You can either try the fix (which no one has confirmed works, yet), or move to MVP (will work) or to using tv-out on a graphics card (and then use software decoding).
I'm not always right

Cool, let us know if it works for you. I'll try it down the road but I spent alot of time installing .97 adn fiddling with it yesterday to find out it is not supported before going back to .96
