1.EPG Source does not find my VistaView Saber 2020
2. Can not download tv schedule
Your EPG source does not appear to be configured correctly. Please check the EPG Source
Settings and try again. System.Net.WebException: The remote name could not be resolved:
‘webservices.prod.schedulesdirect.tmsdatadirect.co m’

3. dongle.bin is incompatible with vista. I download the patch
do I change the name dongle.bin.mvpc-20070830 to dongle.bin

I am interested in using gbpvr because MS will let you record some analog tv because flag was set in the digital version to no copy.

GBPVR does work on Vista and since it works on one it should work on all.

For number 2, did you install this patch? http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...ostcount=7

Sorry I forget to name it dongle.bin when I created this file back in August. You can rename it to dongle.bin or alternatively rename it to a filename of your choice with a .bin extension, and then select it with config.exe.

I'm guessing VistaView changed the Saber driver names on their Windows Vista drivers so they're not being found.

Can you run filtercheck then zip and attach the filtercheck.log? http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6

the program found my tuner. I ran the Tuning Assistant and it found all my channels.
Since I have Vista MCE I am trying to use the Utility MceEpg2XmlTv.
The xml output file only has two lines
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
<tv source-info-name="MS Media Center EPG" generator-info-name="MceEpg2XmlTv (Vista Edition) v1.0.1.1" />

Should all the channels be listed here?

I am have trouble with the Config program|Capature Source|Edit recording Sources
I can not get it to show my channels

yes, all the channels need to be listed. I would post that issue in the MCE2XML thread itself to Whurlston can take a look at it: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=27890

Sorry, I know nothing about this utility so cant really answer this. Best bet is to follow -Oz-'s suggestion.
