I'm going to remove the line up and start over , then update the EPG and see what happens. A lot of my basic channels are duplicated on digital channels and I notice that in the tv guide now if a channel has a digital version it shows up where the channel name used to be ( eg 36 wsbk is now 36 157 , where 157 is the digital version of channel 36)

I suggest you remove the duplicates in your lineup through http://labs.zap2it.com or you're likely to get exactly the same thing again.

I removed all the digital copies of channels , updated EPG , got back the missing channels and lost many more. Zap2it has to be all screwed up.

If I download the EPG using the account details you sent through, what are the specific problems you see with your lineup (channel numbers etc)?

You will see the following channels
2-8 ok
ch 9 missing
ch 14 missing
ch 19 missing
ch 20 missing
ch 36 missing
ch 42 missing
ch 61 missing
ch 145 146 150 170 226 402 403 missing
the missing channels show up after the last channel in the guide 406 and they all have blank descriptions. Seems to be loosing more channels the more I mess with it.

I've just tried importing this on a clean database. I suspect if you deleted your gbpvr.mdb, forcing it to use a clean database, you'd get the same results:

2-8 ok
ch 9 ok
ch 14 ok
ch 19 was moved to channel 80 on 2005-03-30
ch 20 ok
ch 36 ok
ch 42 ok
ch 61 is disabled (not included) in you zap2it lineup
ch 145 146 150 170 226 402 403 are disabled (not included) in your zap2it lineup

I did start with a clean database. I did it again from a second clean database , rebuilt the sources and updated the epg. The guide looked normal , I started to re-enter my recurring recordings , got a "....object reference " type error and the guide is now empty? Time to sleep on it again........

If you can reproduce, post the logs and I'll take a look.

What logs do you need to see?

I got the guide relaoded again , set up some recurring programes , got the error again and lost all guide data.
