I'd like to be able to use the Hauppauge remote to enter alpha characters (like a cell phone) in the default Search tool. At the moment, pressing a number enters that number only rather than cycling through the alpha characters then the number.

What would be the coolest... a T9 tap style input with the remote. And only shows that are in the EPG would be in the dictionary. Alternatively shows that have ever been in the EPG =)

One more thing - an option (via manually editing the skin's XML I guess) to decide which characters each number cycles through - to support other languages, like mine Smile

Thanks,

LOL - I hadn't seen this. Count on Jeff to read your mind (in January, already):

I'd seen Jeff's post, but I didn't see that the list of characters is configurable. I have no use for the varoius accented vowels. I need to change it to include Hebrew characters Big Grin

And anyway - I prefer to count on as few plugins as possible.

Sorry, GGF, I didn't see your wish for Hewbrew characters, so I wasn't referring to that, I was referring to my wish for T9 text entry... I can see how you would want support for Hebrew chars... And I agree with you on not using too many plugins Big Grin
