Okay, so now rename seems to work fine.

But here is the thing: comclean acts like it never ran! If I run it manually from the command line, it chops away (part 1, part 2, then part 3!), but it doesnt run during post processing.

Any ideas? So frustrating Sad

Try running the whole thing in parallelprocessing.bat and not post.
If comskip outputs the correct file, then comclean should cut it.
Are you using the version of comclean that uses mencoder to cut?
Have you got mencoder in the right place?
What do the comclean.log and comclean.err files have in them?
You can never have enough tuners!

Reboot. Thanks for the questions. I'm not gonna be next to the PVR till tomorrow, so I will have more specifics then, but I am using comclean .0.0.0.6 (I think). It uses MPEGxt or whatever that exe is.

I will try running them both in parallel. So should i not tell config to run comskip/showanalyzer where I have that option and just do everything through the batch files?

Thanks everyone for all the help!

No, don't have config do anything, do it all from the .bat file.
If you onlly want comskip, then config will do, but if you want any post or parallel processing that relies on comskip, do it in the .bat
This allows comskip to finish totally, before comclean starts, a necessity if you want it to work.
Run comskip, comclean, and rename from parallelprocessing.bat
Comskip will run during the recording, thus using far less CPU power, and will finish almost immediately after the recording is done, then comclean should clean it, and renamerecording will finish up.
You can never have enough tuners!

So I have comskip, comclean and rename in Parallelprocessing.bat, like Reboot said.

Now when a show is recorded, I get an mpg, which is named "******20060521_425456465_original.mpg" There is no _clean.mpg version. And I get three text files: Two .txts and a .log. The .log and one of the .txt files are named with the show name AND THE EPISODE TITLE, while the other .txt and the mpg are named with the date and number after the show name.

The MPG hasnt been cut (at least the length doesnt suggest that it has, and neither does the size), but the comskip files are certainly there.

What do you guys think? So weird.....

In the comclean.bat file, do you have the correct path to mpgtx.exe?
Do you have mpgtx installed?
Is comclean in the same folder as mpgtx?
They should all be in c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\
It sounds like comskip is running, but cannot find comclean, then renamerecording(s) is running.
Comclean.bat should have the path: set mpgtx="c:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\mpgtx.exe"

I have mpgtx in the gbpvr dir, and comclean points to it in the bat file.

rename works, but not on the MPG. just on the .txt files.

???

Try this:
Change the .bat file, so the rename line looks like this (note the S!)
Code:
RenameRecordings -t %1 > renamerecordings.log
Install this renamerecordings file in c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr
