My husband, the computer guru of the household, has left the country, and I need help!

We have GBPVR set up with MediaMVP, and it suddenly stopped recording, so I decided to try to fix it by updating to the most recent GBPVR software. Unfortunately, I have enough skill to download and install the program, but not enough to get it working. I am trying to use zap2it.com as an EPG source, which we used successfully with the previous version. I forgot to uninstall the old version before beginning, but later went back and uninstalled. I installed .NET 2.0 as recommended and re-installed the new version, but I keep getting this error message when trying to set up the EPG:

“Your EPG source does not appear to be configured correctly. Please check the EPG Source Settings and try again. System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException: The changes you requested to the table were not successful because they would create duplicate values in the index, primary key, or relationship. Change the data in the field or fields that contain duplicate data, remove the index, or redefine the index to permit duplicate entries and try again.”

I have no idea what this means, and I really miss my tv shows. Can you help this damsel in distress?

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look. The log files can be found in c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr

Just assume, and don't be rude Big Grin

Are you using the right login for zap2it?
Has the zap2it subscription expired?
If so, log in to http://labs.zap2it.com and answer the short survey to extend your subscription, then update the EPG.
You can never have enough tuners!

Can you tell me more specifically what I'm looking for? Do you want all the text documents that are in this directory?

And yes, I did double check my zap2it account and it is active, so I know that is not the problem.

The all end in .log, but windows may be hiding the file extension from you. If you're in the explorer details view, it should say 'log file' or something similar in one of the columns.

The only thing I have is text documents. There is nothing with log file, or .log. I've zipped all of the text documents into one file and I'm hoping these are the logs you were looking for.

Have you actually rebooted? It looks like something is holding a lock to the database and its interferring with database activity.

If you have rebooted and are still getting the problem, you could try stopping the GB-PVR software, and deleting the gbpvr.ldb file if it exists, then restarting things.

gbpvr.mdb.original file is 488 KB. I have rebooted a couple of times but nothing has changed.
