Hi,
I installed GB-PVR and its seems great so far. I just have one problem. When i playback my recording it does not show a progress bar. Normally, I would just watch im WMP or VLC, however, i want to use the commercial skip feature, and it seems like GBPVR is my only option to view the videos that have comskip files.

I realized that when I use the intervideos decoder instead of cyberlinks or neros, the display does come up. However, I need to use cyberlink or nero because when I use intervideos the video jutters and freezes every few seconds making it extremely annoying to watch.

I guess my question is essentially, either 1)is there a way to get the intervideo decoder to work better, or 2)is there a way to get the progress bar to show up using one of the decoder decoders.

Thank you
Andrew

Its most likely related to the combination of directshow filters installed on your machine. Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach you gbpvr.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Do you want a log when Im using the intervideo one when it freezes, or from the other decoders when the display does not show up?

Thanks again

edit:I read again and im guessing you wanted the intervideo log, so I have attached that.

Try with whatever decoder you'd prefer to use.

Try switching the renderer from vmr9 to overlay and check if you still have the problem

The nero video decoder is known to cause problems with lots of apps, but in this case the decoder is failing to load (expired eval?), so it falls back to using the Cyberlink one.

The Cyberlink video decoder is not compatible with vmr unless you add some cyberlink registry settings. Without these registry settings the OSD is not visible.

If you are still interested, comskip makes a cutlist for zoom player. It'll skip commercials, but it doesn't look as slick as GBPVR with the commercial blocks and show information. I've tried it but went back to GBPVR.

When I use overlay, neither the intervideo or the cyberlink one show the OSD. The intervideo one does work with all VM options in terms of the OSD, but my computer can not get a smooth image with intervideo except on overlay, where the display still isnt working.

Edit: I just got the latest maintence release and now the OSG works with overlay. Thanks and I love the program.

It could be lots of things - version of decoders you're using, video card drivers you're using, version of quartz.dll on your machine.
