anyone have any comments on this item...
I just upgraded to the latest gbpvr softeware and am having difficulty getting dongles to load. Haven't tried the old origional dongle yet though...

Did you upgrade to 97.09, this is the maintenance release of a few days ago that dealt with some problems like you mentioned.
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,
Fritz!box 7140 modem/router, GBPVR 1.3.7.

Make sure to remove the power on your MVP, do not just turn it off via the remote (which actually only puts it on standby). It may take a couple of power cycles, but if you give it some time, it should find the server. Your TV may then go to the Hauppauge setup menu to select the IP address of your PC.

Mine gets stuck on a MediaMVP Select Preferred Server screen. How do I get it to bypass that?

just to report back - dongle-3.0.24088.bin did eventually load.
My MVP seems to require more time than I remember. I checked it this morning (I let it load through the night...) and I got the new ip check screen. A quick test indicated that with the new dongle, the system seems to be working better than ever!

20488 seems to work well for me, too. It doesn't hang the mvp when viewing largish images in Picture Library, either. I used to use one dated Dec 2004 because of this problem in more recent releases.
C2Duo E8400, 4GB, GE8600GT, PCH A-100, HVR2200, NPVR 1.5.31, Win 7 x64.

How do I determine what version of dongle.bin is installed?
Thanks mm
