I've been using this software quite happily for some time now. The other day I decided its time to check the website for updates and install the latest version. I don't remember the version number of what I was using, but it was about a year old. Anyway, I upgraded to the latest version of GBPVR and now the IR-Blaster built into my PVR-150 card is not working...well, not with GBPVR anyway. I can still use the cheap program included with the card to watch TV and it changes the channels just fine. I've attached my log files and screenshots of my configuration. Can anyone help?

Few things to try.. first make sure you have chosen the ".exe channel changer" and HaupBlast.exe in the config for your channel changer.

also, try doing it manually by opening up a dos prompt, cd'ing to the gbpvr folder, and doing something like:
haupblast 200

if even that doesnt do that, run the IR Blaster setup again, make sure you check "Allow external program" and test it from there.. i doubt its a gbpvr problem since it just uses the hauppauge api.

I've also just upgraded to 9709 and my external blaster (I'm using an blast.bat file) stopped working. I.e. it works once, when I start up to view something from the TV-Listning, but it does not work with <number> + <enter> key in TV Mode.

Sgilani,

I did everything you suggested and I just can't get my IR blaster to work with the new version of GBPVR v0.97.9. I was using v0.95.16 before and never had any issues. There was also a Hauppauge IR Blaster Plugin option in the Channel Changer drop-down menu in v0.95.16 that no longer appears in the drop-down of the new version 0.97.9. Any ideas why?

That worked! Thanks. Is this a new thing? With the older version I was using I didn't have to use the .exe changer. The setup instructions on the GBPVR Wiki also tell you *not* to use the .exe changer for the Hauppauge 150. Oh well, it works, so I am happy.

Glad it worked! yeah, back in the day things were different.. but there were bugs with the way the hauppauge changer plugin worked with the recording service and all.. haupblast is the way to go

Where does it say that? We should change it.

Cool... and how to do with the Original Microsoft MCE Remote IR Blaster V2a (german) ?

Sometimes the IR-Blaster flashes (working), sometimes not...
