LiveTV Quality setting not working on 0.97.9

I have noticed the LiveTV Quality setting in config.exe does not work in 0.97.9, however manually editing the values in direct.ini does work.

I've just tried here, and I can see it is using the specified bitrate etc. If this is nt happening for you, you should check you gbpvr.exe-native.log after viewing live preview mode live tv. It should show the bitrate being set. Or are you talking about something else?

Thanks for checking this Sub. It is the bitrate values that I'm talking about.

Upgrading from 0.97.7 to 0.97.9 resulted in duplicate LiveTV Quality settings appearing in direct.ini with subtle different names. I'm at work now, but from memory:
"LiveTV Quality"
"Live TV Quality"
And config.exe was updating the one which didn't actually apply the setting to the encoder.

So I did a complete fresh install, and now have only one instance of LiveTV Quality in the direct.ini which does truely adjust the encoder bitrate, but config.exe LiveTV Quality settings does not update direct.ini

I'll recheck this, this evening.

Thats strange. GB-PVR doesnt attempt to merge/retain/upgrade this file during the upgrade. It just overwrites with my copy. I've checked my copy, and I only have the one "SETUP-LiveTV Quality" section. I'm guessing that is a bug in the config app that cause this to be created when you try to edit it.

Sub, this is what's going on:

Direct.ini has default [SETUP-LiveTV Quality] which truely adjusts the encoder bitrate via manual editing of direct.ini

Config App appends the end of direct.ini with [SETUP-LIVE TV Quality] and applies bitrate settings into that, however this has no effect on the encoder.

This has happened both installs of 0.97.9

I've fixed this config app bug for the next release.
