Where did you guys put the new .dll? I was having the same problems with my guide data, so I copied the patch to C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr and C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\web\bin, but now GBPVR won't start.

The last bit in GBPVR.exe.log seems to point ot a skin problem, but I haven't changed my skin since downloading the patch:

Sorry to say I'm still having the duplicate EPG channels problem even with the patch applied. I'm on GBPVR version 97.9. After applying the patch, I re-created my capture source, did a manual EPG update, so I was starting with a clean guide listing, and restarted my PC. At first I thought it was OK, since the next day, I went through one automatic EPG update from zap2it with no problem. However, after the second automatic update, my channel list has doubled again, and the guide is scrambled. So for now I'm back to manually updating the EPG from time to time when I think of it.
Seems I never have a problem when I manually update the EPG.

Can you email your zap2it username and password to me at support@devnz.com? I'll set up a machine with these credentials and leave it running for a couple of days to see if I can reproduce it here.

I'm having the same problem too. Everything works fine for the first update. But after doing the automatic update it screws up. I get almost doubled channels and the channels are not ordered. I tried doing a manual EPG update and nogo.

I did the same process of patching as pberger100. Going to try again after work.

Information only.....
Noticed last night I had a duplicate channel 2 after a show I had scheduled to record failed to change channel at recording time. I changed the channel manually and let it continue recording.

After the recording I went into config and found a duplicate channel 2 at the end of the list. I experimented to see which of the two channel 2's was displaying the EPG data by enabling/disabling the two channels alternatively and then looking at the EPG. Turned out the first channel that was in the list and had the correct channel number 2 was actually not displaying any data in the guide when enabled but the new one added at the end of the list (with an incorrect high channel number) would display EPG data.

So the solution was to first delete the channel 2 that displayed no data at the beginning of the list and then to enable the recently added one at the end of the list and change it's channel number to the correct channel 2. I hit ok and let the recording service restart and then went back into config and it had sorted the channel list so 2 was at the top. I then went into epg and 2 was showing data and I could now watch live tv on channel 2. Problem sorted. Channel 2 did not add another duplicate at last nights EPG update.

I don't have the patch.

just to complicate matters, i'm having this problem too...

but i'm in Ireland, using the Radio times as a source, no zap2it..

now the only thing i think may have happened is i clicked the option that said complete epg reload..beforei clicked this i had no problem...after it i did...could tis have caused it, or it is unrelated?

I've not been able to reproduce this here, but I have spent a lot of time trying.

You guys are going to have to start posting logs when you notice new channels have been added.

Will do when I see it again. I know what to look out for now when a channel duplicates rather than just a channel changing name and being added for a channel name change. If I see a true duplicate again I will capture the logs for you. I have no idea when channel 2 duplicated, it was not in the logs and I have not recorded or watched that channel in a while.

I've been having the exact same problem. I just started using the EPGExtra utility when I upgraded to the latest version of GBPVR. Anybody else having the problem using this ? Any chance that this is somehow breaking the guide ?

Thanks,

Kyle
