mikejaner,

The PVR350 is working fine with this release... I watched two shows last night and it had no problems. Live TV is working like a dream!

bryan,

The reason that you see recordings in the video library would be because you are using the same folder to store both - I use F:\Recordings for recordings, and F:\Videos for videos - this way, those videos I import from other places (ripped from DVD's that I own but watch a lot for example) go into F:\Videos, and those that GB-PVR records go into Recordings. GB-PVR handles the filenames and content descriptions for recordings, but you need to use your own scheme for your videos.

Cheers,
Andy

Andy,
Thanks. That explains it.

Hey Sub,

i tried live tv last night and my machine hung after a few seconds. This was using direct record, VMR9 and the intervideo codec. I don't have the elecard codec installed at present. Will reinstall it. Will also try using wintvcap as well.

I'll check tonight to see if the live-tv0.mpg file is growing or not.

Cheers,
Colin.

I can confirm with a pvr250 that direct recording works fine. I do all my scheduled recordings using the direct plugin,

I've pretty much removed the dependencies on the install drive and directory in the current release I'm working on. One of the guys here has given it a test run, and its almost there - a couple more small tweaks still required.

Hi,
Tried 010 yesterday night and it works great. The memory-leak has disappeared, pause tv works great, so does music playback. I also have the idea that audio-video sync is now better than it used to be.

I did notice a reduced responsiveness to the remote after having played several things. Not dramatic, a bit annoying.

This afternoon my wife will have a go. Let's see what happens  [Image: wink.gif]

I Still have to do some more testing. But I think it will shift from the bare functionality and stability to user interface etc.
A few things on that which I have already noted are:
-Indicate whether shuffle is on or off, make it a toggle switch.
-What happens when I'm watching LiveTV (either direct or via pause) and a scheduled recording is due. Maybe a user preference for what takes precedence in the configuration tool could solve this.
-Start recording while watching a show, using the rec button on the hauppauge remote.
-Scheduling a pause recording session. This would be great as we like to watch the eight o'clock news. But sometimes bringing the kids to bed takes just a little bit longer.
-Radio?!? My PVR 350 has the radio tuner. Would be nice to use that from inside gbpvr. Possibly adding radio recording as well (not very important, nice to have).
-Pictures module (nice to have)
-Possibility to turn menu options on or off.
-Possibility to shut sown my pc from within gbpvr, maybe even when scheduling recordings.

This report turned into a wishlist more or less, but I think you know what I mean. When do you think the next release will be out? I probably won't have much time to test until Friday night.

Greetings and thanks, I'm not even looking into wintv2k anymore... (but using wintvcap to record for now).

I can tell you what happens when watching live TV when a scheduled recording should be starting: you're wife gets very upset that the program didn't record [Image: tounge.gif]

I made that mistake last night... it would be good a) for me to think what I'm doing a little more clearly!

b) have some kind of reminder popup 5 mins before the scheduled recording starts (or just a switch and lock onto the recording channel at the padding point?)

Cheers,
Andy
