Resuming video crashes GBPVR

For some unknown reason, earlier this week GBPVR started to crash when I resumed playback of a video or when I skipped (all skipping forms). I've tried switching from vmr7 to vmr9 then overlay with the appropriate codecs, but GBPVR continues to crash. I reinstalled .net 2.0 and the turmoil persists.

Also, using overlay with any video decoder other than intervideo own decoder produces sound during video playback but no video. I know not to use the cyberlink decoder with any vmr favor. In addition, the only video display modes I can use is overlay and vmr7 (vmr9 refuses to function properly). I'm using version 97.9.

There is no error message in the logs. What error message are you presented with on the screen?

There weren't any on-screen error messages. One thing I noticed was that the hourglass mouse cursor was present when it freezes/crashes on the GBPVR interface. I can't recall anything like this happening before, must be somehow connected to .net 2.0.

Have you tried setting the audio renderer to system default? I see you're currently using the Cyberlink renderer which has caused problems for some. This may not help.

Thanks, I changed the audio render from cyberlink audio renderer to system default as you suggested, the skip/resume freezeup is gone!

Overlay is only properly working with intervideo's video decoder, it seems to have happened after I upgraded to cyberlink 6.0 then downgraded to cyberlink 5.0.
