Hello all - I'm a newbie here, setting up my first little PVR. Having a little trouble though.

I installed a WinTV-PVR-USB2 on my PC. That step worked fine - was able to view live TV on my PC.

I then installed the MediaMVP. That step worked fine - was able to view pictures and stuff on my TV that were on my hard drive.

I then installed GB-PVR. I can get GB-PVR running on my computer screen but I can't get it to send to my TV. In the GB-PVR config, I've set the 'number of servers to autostart" in the MVP Tab to "1".

What's going on?

Sorry if this is in another thread somewhere, bot I've looked through the posts and couldn't find anything like this. Seems like the software just isn't overriding the MediaMVP software or something.

Thanks for your help!

What model of MVP is it? The new H models require a later version of dongle.bin. There is a big discussion about this in one of the other current threads.

You need to disable the two hauppage services or uninstall the MVP software. Read the Wiki for more detail. Or use the stop services from MVP software to temporary disable the services for the gbpvr mvp servers to kick in.

OK. I've turned off the 2 Hauppauge services. Now when I try to start it up, on my TV it says, "Checking Network status...." then "Loading Application...." It stays stuck on the loading application stage.

What's going on?? Oh, I have a Rev. H2 MVP and I'm using dongle.bin. Should I be using a different one? I've seen suggestions for H3, but not H2. Anyone know?

Thanks! I'm getting closer! (I think)

This is the thread to which sub refers:

You probably need the dongle that other folks have had succes with for the H3. I have sent you a PM. PLEASE post back inthat thread with your results !
