I've got the same problems with MCE and snapstream.

The sample vid is jerky. Uisng the Win2000 program I can record perfect video, no problems at all.

It all seems to go wrong when I install gbpvr though.
As soon as it's installed the recording service starts in the background and takes 100% of cpu.

I also can't figure out how to just record composite, I don't want channels setup, just plain old composite or svid.

Have you tried the Cyberlink decoder that comes with PowerDVD? It seems to do a pretty good job with the epia boards.

Yeah, thats not normal. If you email over your logs to support@devnz.com, I'll take a look.

GB-PVR is really designed around tv listing etc, so you might be picking the wrong tool for the job....but if you want to do this you can setup a capture source which is configured to use the composite connection, and manually add a channel called something like 'composite'. The "composite channel" will then appear as an option when setting up manual recordings.
