Hi.
Anybody have this board?

I have one and and i am very hapy with it - it is rock stable, nice video quality, but there are problems too.

I am using XPSP3, BIOS F4, 2GB RAM, only Hauppage 1300 TV card is installed, no keyboard/mouse is connected.

Basicaly, i setup my HTPC to go to standby mode after 3min.
GB-PVR should wake up my machine to record, but sometimes it simply freeze (fails to wakeup correctly). MCE stand by tool helps a little, becouse manual standby/wakeup working just fine after MCE instalation.

I checked all possible LOGs, event wiever, but there is no info about hang :/

I am afraid it can be some MB issue... Who knows?

Any tips?

Make sure your bios is set to S3 mode for standby. What version of GBPvr are you using?

Yes, it is set to S3 - will try S1 today.

GB PVR - "GBPVR10311.msi"

Clean XP SP3 install.
I thing this is not a software problem :/ maybe BIOS...

It might be BISO related. Check for a BIOS update.

Well, hibernation sometime fails to resume back too.
System freeze exactly after "resuming from hibernation" after DOS progress bar reached 100%, then screen flicks to dark of dead :/.

After i hit reset, menu apear with delete hiberfile or resume with current hiber file. If i select reset, system resume normaly...

Now i am blaiming some driver to failed initialize, but i have no idea wich one it can be.
There is no LOG created Sad - maybe if there is a way how to force windows to create hibernate LOG...

does the PC hang if you use the power buttom or mouse to wake up the pc?

try it without the Hauppage 1300 installed and if this works, try moving the card to a different slot.

It is lotery. It hangs one per ~5 wakeups (mostly sheduled ones).

Yesterday i hibernate/resume manualy around 15times and no problem, this morning i found my HTPC freezed again Sad

OK, i did another testing weekend and this time, all was working perfectly, no hangs at all. I recorded around 15sheduled recordings, no manual system restart, all was working like a charm.

Just to found my HTPC freezed this morning...
It looks like HTPC is working corectly only on weekends, but other days it hangs.

What can couse this?

I don't get it...

I think i found troublemaker - TV card driver!

It is latest drivers from 4.6bCD.
More info here http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/board/showthread.php?t=15212

Now installing 4.2 and starting testing.

EDIT:

Older drivers didnt fix anything Sad
I found that "hcw88tse.sys" driver is troublemaker - no idea how to fix it :/

EDIT2:
Now testing BETA drivers, and it seems to be working...

Nope, another freeze. I rename this thread, becouse MB is not the problem, problem is TV card driver.
