I'm not sure if this is a GB-PVR error or if it's Windows or maybe Hauppauge driver error... Anyways, the analog part of the HVR-1300 works with the Roslyn driver, not with the HVR-1300 driver:confused: ... strange.

What is worse, the DVB-T tuner doesn't work at all. When setup in GB-PVR, I first get a message that the DVB tuner is not accessible. Then an error window comes up and wants me to end the program. I looked through the logs, and apparently a tuning filter is missing?

I should add that I haven't got the DVB to work with WinTV-2000 either, so probably a Hauppauge or Windows error.... The logs from GB-PVR is my best bet on finding an answer.:o

I'm using WinXP MCE 2005, DirectX 9.0C, the latest Hauppauge drivers and everything is updated.

Any ideas?

My HVRs worked fine 'out-of-the-box' (WinTV and GBPVR) - so it sounds like a quirk with your system.

Did you use the latest Hauppauge drivers right from the start, or install them over the top of the supplied ones? If so, try running HWclear (should be on the Haupauge CD, or in one of the Haupauge program folders) to remove ALL the Hauppauge drivers, software etc. Download the latest driver files from the hauppauge website (sounds like you might have dome this already)http://hauppauge.lightpath.net/software/...al-25d.zip and unzip them somewhere and then reinstall the card using add 'new hardware' in control panel. DON'T let it install automatically, instead tell it to look in the folder you just downloaded the latest drivers.

Tried that several times to no avail... I'm beginning to suspect my windows installation... What OS do you have that it works with?

And do your analog (assuming your'e using analog) work with the Roslyn driver or the Hauppauge-1300 driver?

they've worked with XPhome and XPpro - and MCE is really just a flavour of XP.
Have you got net2 installed - this is not automatically added by windows update, you have to manually delect it from their update page....

I don't really use the analogue part much, but i have had it running in the past under "HVR-1300 (analogue)" and Roslyn, although neither are recognised automatically by GBPVR.

Have you also searched these forums for 'HVR' to see if this issue has been noted/fixed before?

Got net2 installed, and everything is up to date...

I've searched the forums without luck...

If no one has any ideas I guess I'll try reinstalling windows and if that doesn't help I guess maybe my card is broken... Sad

Sorry, but I dont really know. If its not working with the Hauppauge WinTV software aswell, then it sounds like the drivers are in a non-functioning state.

I'll try reinstalling windows with another distro... if that doesn't help, I'll return it to the store...

Thanks anyway...
