Alright, I went back 35 or so pages, trying to see if a solution to my problem could be found, but I unfortunately didn't stumble across a suitable thread.

Using a Hauppage WinTV-PVR 150, I installed and configured GB-PVR according to the QuickStart guide in the Wiki.

Playback -> Video Decoder: InterVideo NonCSS Video Decoder
Playback -> Audio Decoder: InterVideo NonCSS Audio Decoder
Capture Source -> Recording Source: Direct Recording Plugin
Capture Source -> Recording Source -> Capture Card Type: Hauppage PVR150
Capture Source -> Recording Source -> Country: Denmark
Capture Source -> Recording Source -> Board Number: Capture Device #1
Capture Source -> Recording Source -> Source: Internal Tuner
Capture Source -> Recording Source -> Tuning: Cable
Capture Source -> EPG Source: XMLTV Plugin
Capture Source -> EPG Source -> XMLTV File: <path to xml file from running the XMLTV application>

Exited the configuration, restarted it and Updated EPG. Changed 'Source Channel' according to the channel numbers I use both on my TV and in WinTV (changed the channel numbers in the 'Channels' tab as well).

Started up the GB-PVR application, went into 'TV Guide' and picked a show currently on. Clicked to watch it, and I'm met by a static screen (or black screen if WinTV is running in the background. WinTV will then get the static instead). Same thing happens with the 'Live TV' option.

I'm absolutely clueless about what to do to get a proper display, and I hope I have provided enough information to get some help or a hint.

Sad

If you run the tuning assistant, do you see the channels?

Tuning Assistant... hmm, I'll give that one a shot, and see if I can.

Did try with WinTV shut down as well... but sadly with the same results.

Sounds like you just havnt entered the right channel numbers in your channel list in the capture source settings. Use the channel numbers that were found in the Tuning Assistant app.

Ahhh... I think I get it now!

I misunderstood the ChannelMappings entry in the Wiki, and thought it was the channel numbers (the order of the channels) used in WinTV to use there.

Will give it a shot when I get home from work, and see how it goes Smile.

I'm having a similar problem with the same setup as mentioned in the original post, except the Video/Audio renderers are System Default, and the tuning assistant finds no channels.

Do you find any channels with the Hauppauge WinTV software?
