Black screen/static when trying to watch a channel

Download it from the Hauppauge web site then.

WinTV doesn't read any channels, but there is signal on the coax as the television picks up cable channels normally when the cable's plugged into it.

Do you have a cable box in between the wall socket and your TV?

Nope. Coax runs straight into the wall. This apartment just has basic cable by default with no cable box necessary.

Oh, also this is under Windows 2000. I'd previously had an SAA7133 and InterVideo's media center software installed, and the tuner worked on that. Uninstalled it because it sort of blew and was incompatable with GBPVR which has in every respect proven to be the better media center software.

Sorry, I dont know. I'd try to get it working with the Hauppauge WinTV software first. If it doesnt work with that, it isnt going to work with GB-PVR.
