Has anyone had a problem with GBPVR crashing when attempting to use overlay mode with the Nvidia decoder? I get the following message: GBPVR encountered an error and will close. When I select what does this report contain it says:
AppName: gbpvr.exe AppVer:1.0.2379.26398 AppStamp:0000000f
ModName: nvviddec.ax ModVer: 4020.185.0.0 ModStamp: 43542a78
Debug: 0 Offset: 000244fa

I am wanting to switch to overlay mode because I am having stuttering problems with VMR9.

I am attaching the gbpvr.exe.log, which hopefully will help.

Thanks,
Aggie98

You need to change the Purevideo decoder properties to "Prefer Overlay"

The Purevideo decoder will not work with Overlay renderer if it is configured for "Prefer VMR"
AMD Athlon X2 4200+ CPU, Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3 mobo, 2GB RAM, 1TB SATA HDD, DigitalNow Dual Hybrid PCIE S2 and Hauppauge HVR2200 capture, ATI HD4670 video with HDMI-HDMI to 32" LCD TV at 1360x768, Win7 Home Premium 64bit, GBPVR 1.4.7, EVR renderer

Still no dice. Recorded shows appear to play fine however live tv abends. Any other recommendations?

I don't know what "abends" means.

If playback functionality is working, then it appears the Nvidia decoder is working ok, and your problem is related to your LiveTV configuration.

Does LiveTV work if you untick Live Preview Mode in the Config Misc tab? This uses timeshift mode which uses the identical playback path as used for recorded TV.

If timeshift mode works, then your problem is related to LiveTV Preview Mode. Next try re-enabling Live Preview Mode with "encoder pass-through" de-interlacing and see what that does.

Like Lindsay said, abend = abort end and is a mainframe term for an application or job failure.
I tried unchecking live preview mode and switching to the nvidia decoder, but now it begins to go to live tv and then switches back to the menu.

Thanks,
