I looked in here http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Manua...dReference but couldn't work out how to assign "aspect ratio" to a button on my 45 button haupphage remote. Can you change the wiki so that the table also contains the config.xml nodename (e.g. Action, Keyboard, Hauppauge Remote Control, XML Key) or just let me know how to do it?

Alternately, put in a "settings" button on the Hauphage (default) button and allow us to manually reassign the buttons to various functions. For instance, I don't usually use the number keys, but they could quite easily be useful for other functions so that I don't need a keyboard handy.

Thanks Smile

Its pretty easy with the Hauppauge remote. Take a look in the c:\windows\system32\irremote.ini file, at the [GB-PVR] section. The rest should be self explanitory.

No, but there is no way to control the aspect ratio on the MVP, so it wouldnt be that helpful mapping the key to F7 anyway.

argh! yet another esoteric file hidden away full of settings. One day when I'm feeling bored, I'll make an editor for all these little things.

Hmm. Is there another step I have to perform after this?

For example, I edited the file C:\WINDOWS\irremote.ini and changed my red button to (f7). Restarting everything and still no change in functionality - e.g. red doesn't = F7.

So I tried another shortcut - power changes from (f12) to (alt)(f4). I thought this would close the app. But it doesn't. (Incidentally, the f12 key on the keyboard does absolutely nothing anyway. The keyboard reference page says "power" but it doesn't seem to do anything).

Here's my irremite.ini (last section) where i did just this and it works fine - see the last line (although I mapped the sub/cc key as the colour buttons are often used by other GBPVR apps...). Make sure you restart IR and GBPVR after you've edited the file

Nevermind....

I found the correct section. I see, you meant at the bottom....Big Grin

(hangs head in shame)

I added the line and it works perfectly.
Thanks fuzzweed.
