Missing key-hits from Haupauge remote - focus problems?

Haupauge: 250 (not MCE)
WinXP: SP2 + latest_&_greatest fixes
Graphics: ATI Catalyst 6.5
Codecs: Cole2k Media Codec Pack 6.0.7 Advanced

GB-PVR "start maximized" is in my Startup folder along with "AutoStart IR".
During playback of 'Video Library' (various TV shows downloaded off the Web),
however, something is 'stealing' key-hits from the Hauppauge remote
(34-button version) as only Mute and FullScreen work - none of the
Pause/FF/REW/SKIP buttons work.

Is this a focus problem?

This sounds more like a misconfgured irremote.ini in the windows directory.

Did you click on the fix hauppauge remote button for the 34 key remote in the GBPVR config program. This will configure yr irremote.ini with the correct setting. Do not forget to restart the ir.exe after you do this.

Some decoders, including the divx one, start a little tray app when playback starts, stealing the focus.

This isnt a GB-PVR problem. If you go to the divx forum, you'd fix numerous users of numerous apps complaining about this. From memory there were some work arounds like deleting the divx tray app etc.
