Hi folks, wonder if anyone can help me with this strange problem.
A few days ago, I upgraded the processor and RAM in my computer to an AMD 4400+ Dual core, and 2GB respectively. Now, I'm not sure if this has caused the problem, but ever since I'm having really bad video stuttering with the playback of my recordings.
Live TV works fine, but on playing back any recordings with either Power DVD, Windows Media Player 10, or GPPVR itself, the video jumps from frame to frame after a few seconds of normal playback. The audio stays constant, however.
Here's the strange thing. The recorded files play back perfectly using Media Player Classic - downloaded as part of the 'Real Alternative' package!
This leads me to think its a codec issue - if Power DVD, WMP and GBPVR are having the same problems (can't figure out why classic works though). Having said that, I copied the files to another computer on my network, and had EXACTLY the same problems - stuttering video, yet fine with media player classic. GBPVR is not installed on this machine.
I should also say that MPEG recordings recorded previously play in all my media players without any issues.
Help is appreciated!
