I have a hauppauge HVR-1100 as well. Obviously I have a completely different setup to you. But I had the same problem, I tryed all sorts of things. I ended up installing intervideo DVD player (it was a download from compaq under the drivers section for my PC). Then in GBPVR config changed the video decoder to use one of the intervideo video decoders (there where a couple). Problem fixed.

Thanks for the further replies. I've been holding off from replying so I could make a few test recordings. The result is that some recordings play back just fine in Power DVD, and others have the jerky picture.

The fact that all recordings play just fine in Media Player Classic means that the problem isn't so huge (though I'd still like to get it fixed - purely on principle Smile)

I even took a jerky recording and demuxed the file (in preperation for cutting up and burning to DVD-video). Once demuxed, the video and audio played (separately) without issue, and once re-muxed by Gui4 DVD author. Don't know if that info helps, but I'm trying to state everything I've done.

Brian_W, I'll try changing some of the options in GBPVR (starting with the audio renderer). Obviously - since the problem is intermittant - I'll have to make a few recordings to test, so this might take a while!

gkar, no I don't have that program installed. I'll install it when I've tested some of the options in GBPVR - thanks for the suggestion

johnb1974, i'll try that one as well, thanks.

Finally, a little thought of my own. These problems started around the time of my dual core upgrade, but just before I did that, I remember upgrading my cyberlink MUX, to 5.0.2022. I can't remember where I got my previous older version, but I wonder whether reverting to a slightly older MUX might help?? If anyone agrees with me, some indication of where to get that would be appreciated.

Please post if you have any other suggestions Smile

I remember reading a few days ago: someone did go back from 5.0.2022 to a version 5.xxxxx(I don't remember) It fixed his issues.
