WinTV-150 Hauppauge Remote (45 Button)

I've got an issue with my remote & gbpvr. The remote will work with all other pvr software, but when it comes to gbpvr the only time I can get the remote to work is on the main menu. Once the selection is made to watch live tv all functionality of the remote is gone.

Anyone have else have this issue? I've searched the forums, but have come up empty handed.

I really enjoy gbpvr just for the fact that you can customize and tweak it to suite your needs. Really awsome software, but not so functional for me without a remote

Did you click the 'fix hauppauge remote settings' button in the config app?

If you're using the Cyberlink video decoder with VMR, this can result in lose of OSD and keyboard/remote control.

No the remote fix inside the config doesn't solve the problem. Also if the ir.exe is running in the system tray before gbpvr loads it will be closed by the time I exit out of gbpvr.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the gbpvr.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

That makes it sounds like a bug in ir.exe making it crash. It is responsible for sending fake keystrokes to GB-PVR. GB-PVR doesnt interact with it in any way, it just thinks the user is typing on the keyboard.

Okay I've replicated the problem and here is the file;

There is nothing in logs. If IR.exe is dying as you commented above, then it sounds like an Hauppauge bug to me. IR.exe is responsible for sending fake keystrokes to GB-PVR. GB-PVR isnt aware of this utility in any way, it just thinks the user is typing on the keyboard.

I've not heard any other reports of IR.exe closing/crashing like this.
