GBPVR v0.97.13 and input selecting

I am in the middle of upgrading hardware so have installed a NEW GBPVR with .NET 2 from scratch and all seems to be fine (although not live yet).

Theres one thing i want to check now before i go and take the old (working) box out and put this one in and get an earbashing from my otherhalf about this...

I have a PVR150 card (will be removing the PVR350 card) this card as 3 inputs, Composite, SVideo and TUNER thats built in.

I am only using the Composite with a UK SKY box for recording so this is easy, no matter what i record just need to make sure the SKY box switches over already by itself.

Now if i ADD the Tuner in which has 5 channels, how do i tell GBPVR to do the below...

Record BB1 (channel name so you dont get confused) on TUNER from 1800 to 1900
Record SKY1 on COMPOSITE from 1830 to 1900

I dont want this to be "guess work" i really need to see somewhere something that says "BB1 on input x?" or at least somehow check which input (Composite, SVideo or Tuner on which ever card (thinking about using a few) so i know which input on which card is in use so i dont disturb it..... see what i mean????

The main reason it needs to tie up with the timers on the external units.

Before i play with the new install like to check this, nearly killed the current working install with things like this.

When recording, gbpvr will use first available capture source in your list *from the bottom up*. When viewing liveTV it will use first available capture source *from the top down*.

Is there going to be somethign that will alter this, at least to have a name for each input and let GBPVR show you what it itends to do?

You can (in fact, you must) already name each capture source to your liking. If you right click gbpvr's tray icon, you get a menu option "show status", which shows what each capture source is doing right now.

Thats good, will there be a release where this is show in the "recording" part of the menu so you can tell before it actually records it, aka what your going to record and where its recording it from?

That would be really handy, if some dont like it put it as a check box in the config somewhere might be an idea???

I think Recordings2 shows you which tuner is used... I'm pretty sure that you can't change the tuner there, though.

Before, when I was using GB-PVR with the access database, I had written something that would allow you to see what tuners are used, and change tuners away from the automatically selected ones.

Sub does not intend on having this feature, and so when I have time, I'm planning a SQLite version of the tool. The next step after that would be to hook that into a Plugin for GB-PVR. That's down the road though, so don't hold your breath...

Its worth noting though, that the recording can be switched to another tuner at the last minute, for example, if you're watching live tv on tuner that was scheduled to be doing the recording.
