I am thinking of getting a Kworld ATSC-110 to capture OTA HDTV signals when there are two different programs on at the same time that I want to record and one is available on HDTV OTA.

How is the signal captured? Hardware or stream? Will my PC be able to handle the HDTV signal? Is the filesize directly dependent on the Capture Settings under Capture Source?

You'll only be able to recording one channel at a time with your Kworld ATSC-110 with GB-PVR. You can of course be making another recording with your PVR350 at the same time.

The required streams are captured directly to disk.

It'll have no problems recordings, but its probably not fast enough for playback. Both your CPU and graphics card are unlikely to be up to this.

No. With digital recordings, the broadcaster decides the bitrate, which ultimately dictates the file size.

That is what I meant.

Darn. What CPU and GPU are recommended to where almost no hiccups occur? Can the file be converted easily so playback will be possible on what I have now?

Does anybody know what the bitrate is for OTA here in the states? I would imagine pretty low.

I'm not really the best person to answer this since we dont have HDTV here, but there have been a few posts about it in the past. From memory, both the CPU and video card need to be more up spec than those you've listed. Hopefully a forum search will turn up a few recommendations for you.

I think it varies from channel to channel. In the past some users posted some typical file sizes you'd expect from various US channels. I just did a quick search now, but couldnt find the post I was thinking of.

Actually I seem to find that the resolution shifts from program to program, though some channels choose to go with higher resolutions more often. A quick review is showing bitrates from 4-9Mbps. My files for a one hour show range from 2 GB to 8 GB.

We just testing one here at work and for an 3.2Ghz machine with a decent PCI-E graphics card it ran about 15-20% of the CPU for timeshifting using the overlay manager.

After doing this: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=19303 and being tired of poor reception of basic channels even on satellite (in the states we have to pay extra to get local channels through satellite) and not wanting to install an antenna on the roof. (I have a large one in the attic but reception in the attic is not as good compared to it being on the roof.)
I bought this: http://www.kworldcomputer.com/product/di...sc330u.htm at the local Fry's.

I finished installation last night. The CPU went up to 80% for viewing HD files which is ok until I can get a much better system.
