Is there any preferred processor that works best for gb-pvr or capturing in general? can gb-pvr use 64bit or take advantage of dual core?

The recommended minimum CPU for GB-PVR is a 1GHz PIII class CPU. Above this, the faster the better.

Its runs fine on the 64x version of Windows using the .net 2.0 runtime, but its not full 64bit.

or take advantage of dual core?

Yes, it does take advantage of multicore processors. GB-PVR is made up of mulitple processes, with multiple threads, that share well across these multiple CPUs/cores.
