Just installed the latest version to find client functionality...That is soooo cool. Anyway, the Live TV portion doesn't work right. I see the service (on the server) and that it tries to play, but a second later the client dies with "Failure playing back file". Do I need to set the live tv buffer directory or something?

My guess is that you dont have the client share paths set correctly in the config app.

For server I have the PC name, database share is \\pcname\gbpvr (the gbpvr directory with the database...duh).

Is the error meaningful to you at all?

How incredibly bizarre. I tried a repair (with the installer) and it miraculously works now. This is REALLY cool...good job!

I'll try a repair as well, I get a similar error - I've been trying various shares with no luck as yet. If I cut and paste the share+filename it's trying to open into explorer or something then it will open it in media player fine.
More in a moment when I try the 'repair' (and I'll clean the logs to get fresh ones to post if needed).

OK - wierd - doing nothing but the repair from the install script it has started working and plays previous recordings fine. I haven't experimented with live TV or anything, buy my hours of trying things out failed.

I really like this - a major step forward Sub - well done.

Same issue. Will try the repair when I am at home. Are the only settings for the client to work well in the config app from gbpvr or do we have to edit config.xml to adjust someting ? Read someting like that in another topic if i'm right.

You should be able to do everything from the config app.
