Its worth noting that this slow down you're experiencing will only occur if yours start the GB-PVR app then click the TV Guide button immediately. If GB-PVR had already been running a while, or if you'd done some other activity in GB-PVR, then you most likely would not see this problem.

The TV Guide is a lot of data, and starts loading the second you start GB-PVR. When you click the TV Guide button, it either shows the guide straight away if that data has finished loading, otherwise it has to wait until the load completes before showing it.

Thats interesting jim i didnt know that not having the data would slow the display of the guide on startup but your respone does make a lot of sense... I will try your suggestions tonight and if it doesnt help i will get you the logs then.


Thanks to both of you for your quick responses...Part of what makes gbpvr great.

Save the logs first if you can, wouldn’t want the original problem to be overwritten.
In the end, the xmltv / Zap2It problem may not have anything to do with it, but I would feel better knowing that your I-xmltv install is working properly.
