Hi,

It looks like the post padding feature isn't working when a recording starts at the same time the current recording ends. The log shows the following message:

14-9-2006 20:00:00.062 INFO [5] Found new programme requiring recording: Goede tijden, slechte tijden
14-9-2006 20:00:00.062 INFO [5] Stopping existing recording on this capture source. (removing from currentlyRecording)

The recordings are on different channels.

I use one PVR 500 and a PVR 350 so I have three tuners and I can still record three programs at once in version 98.8.

This is actually normal, and was the same behaviour as v0.97. By default it prefers to use the minimum number of tuners at all times, which minimise conflicts for resources.

If you prefer it to try to retain the padding if it can, with slightly higher risk of conflict, then you can set <PreferAlternatingCaptureSources>true</PreferAlternatingCaptureSources> in config.xml. With three tuners, this is a good option. With two tuners, its better to have it set to false. With one tuner it doesnt matter what you set. I set the default to favour one or two tuners, since most users have either one or two tuners. A lot less people have more than two tuners.

Hi Sub,

I mostly record from a receiver box -> S-video input as opposed to internal analog tuner (PVR-500 card). I regularly record a whole block of subsequent shows on a single channel.

Right now I avoid problems by setting a manual recording to span the entire time block of interest, but this is less than optimal since the actual programs can't appear in the GBPVR database.

In a case like mine, must I deal with any sort of special configuration or just cross my fingers and let 'er rip?

Thanks!

I dont understand the problem - what is the question?

Assuming its on topic, then I probably gave all the relevent details above (S-video is no different):
