no sound from decoder card

before the upgrade, and switch to server/client, all worked great.
after the upgrade, so far all works great except for sound from the hardware decoder.
video looks great, but it is silent.

if I switch to software decoder, it works.

did 98.8 lose sound support for the cards??
is anybody else having problems??

The xcard/pvr350 have not been supported for a long time, so arent tested with new features like client/server. They may or may not work - I dont know. If they dont work though, I wont be fixing them. Sorry.

As far as I can see you don't have a hardware decoder, so how could you have used it. Forgive me if I'm missing something.

it is the netstream2000 in the sig.
it was working fine if I chose xcard in the config.

This is exactly why the xcard is not supported anymore. It consumes a huge amount of development effort, all for about 3 users. Even when it was supported, there would have been less than 10 users with these devices. Not worth the hassle for me.
