Net Radio & Weather Plugins

Hi,

I'm new to this forum so forgive me if I am asking questions that to everyone else is blooming obvious. I have just purchased a MediaMVP and have started using GB-PVR because it has a nicer interface, but I have a couple of issues.

1. Weather Plugin. I cannot seem to get the Weather plugin working, it says there is an error with the date/time string. I cannot find how I can specify a date within the config app.

2. Net Radio. How do I add Net Radio stations? I managed this with the Hauppage software but I notice the file format of the radio stations with GB-PVR is "pls" instead of "mvp".

2/ you can download .pls files from shoutcast.com. I was using .pls files for radio on the MVP long before Hauppauge added radio support to their software with .mvp extenstion.

skidoo, I've met no. 1 too - it seems some location-codes cause it. Try for example idxx0058 (it's Yogyakarta in Indonesia) - you'll get the same error. For me German towns all work, Indonesian all do not. This problem was not present in the earlier release

what is the exact error you get with the date string ?

the code uses your local date & time setting to convert the date which is returned from the web site which actually hosts the weather information into your local time zone

is it possible you have no time zone set on your pc ?

Error is:

"Error: String was not recognised as a valid DateTime."

...err hang on...I didn't read the instructions..doh! I had put in my postcode instead of the 'accid'.

Hmm, for me it's still the same (and yes, that error message). No Indonesian cities (well, I haven't checked them all, just Bogor and Yogyakarta, but there is an msnbc listing anyways). I have no 'accid' in my URL, it's 'cty'. It works for German and Austrian cities.

Hi there,

I've tried IDXX0058 (Yogyakarta) and it works OK. Perhaps you need to type it in uppercase?
