Two questions :

1) Any idea why an mpg file recorded ith bpvr can't be read in MCE?
2) Can I create MS-DVR in gbpvr?

I cant think of any reason why not, they just standard MPEG2 files.

2) Can I create MS-DVR in gbpvr?

If you're using a BDA digital card, then yes, you have the option to record using the DVR-MS mux, which results in .DVR-MS files.

The funny thing is I can play the mpg file in WMP, but not in MCE. Maybe it has nothing to do with gb-pvr. I'll try and play an mpg file not created in gb-pvr.

OK, MCE is to blame....can' read any mpg files....

Just in case anyone else has this problem, it was due to the fact that I was using the trial version of the Nvidia Purevideo decoder, which had just expired. GB-PVR was clever enough to change to Cyberlink, but MCE wasn't. That LastGraph.grf, is very useful!!

I've also found out why gb-pvr uses ffdshow sometimes, even when you haven't set the tick box in the config. Choose FFDShow de-interlace, and ffdShow is used. Logical really.
