Hi,
I tried to add an recording via command line, but unfortunatly it doesn't work that way (no command line functionality available as far as I can see).

Is there any chance to add/delete recordings (and to get a list of recording) without using the web-interface or EPG?

This would be really helpful for programming some nice features together with other programs.

It could be also a different API as well (even browser based via HTTP, e.g. http://localhost/add.php?prg=1&start=10 or so), but I haven't found anything...

Any help is appreciated!
Thanks+best regards
Torsten

Sorry, there is no feature that does this, and I have no plans to add one.

Hi,
OK. However, my idea is as follows - that's why I need an "external" API.

I thought to write a small script, which can be used to
a) send an recording job via SMS oder email from anywhere and my server at home will receive this messages. Afterwards, my own script on the server can transfer the recording data in a recording job
b) and the same idea for my answering machine which is also computer based and can run jobs based on numbers.

Oh well, any other ideas? Otherwise I have to check other programs again, but I found gbpvr quite perfect... Sad
Best regards

Its not a feature I intend to add myself, but if you look at the included web scheduler source code, it shows how to use the ScheduleHelper API to schedule recordings. You can use this info to create your own command line recorder.
