Missing Images for Skins?

I installed Advisor and some theme packs as well as a Theme Manager. However, it seems to be missing some images. I see red X's in the header and footer of most screens. I have errors in the log file as well:

etc... there are a few more, but I think that this is probably enough for someone to catch my problem.

I reinstalled 0.98.8b fresh instead of upgrading my old version of GBPVR to clean up some of the stuff.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What themes are giving you problems? The latest version of the Advisor skin has some things that may not be compatible with all themes.

The Advisor Base Theme skins I have that show this red X are MCE, Sharper Edge, TransAM, and UpdaterTheme. Only the Advisor's Blue doesn't. Also, the main Blue and XMediaLE don't have the problem. These are the only ones I have.

Apparently there is a serious issue with putting older version skins into the new version. ONLY download 2.8 skins if you have the newest version, from http://hyperlinkx.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Skins/Themes . For example, TransAM is not on this page. It gave me a whole lot of trouble trying to figure out what had gone wrong.

Most of the 2.8 skins on the above page have a huge problem downloading at the moment. (check the number of downloads as well). ReVisor from that page, Dragon, MCE2blue and Mayhem2 are the ones I have and they all work now.

There is a fix to get rid of the red X, (http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=20889), but still you have other problems when using the old skins, e.g. the recording doesn't work, and there is no record button.

If you have that last problem, the only way to fix it -that i know of- is to use config tool and start another skin (NOT ADVISOR) - I used the default Blue -, then overwrite the advisor directory with your initial advisor.2.8 skin (don't worry, your working themes won't get lost), then delete any theme directories (such as Advisor.TransAM) that you did not download from the above website, install the latest versions if available, and THEN use config to go back into the advisor skin and everything should be working again.
