The other user that had indicated good success with it was doing a DVR-MS to MPG conversion.
I successfully recorded ATSC to mpg files using the Intervideo MUX under 96.12, but it seems I need to use dvr-ms now. I might try the transcode with the ATI MUX and see where that gets me. Thanks!

Thats funny - I'd never heard of anyone successfully recording with the Intervideo mux (ATSC or DVB), regardless of GB-PVR version. The general consensus seemed to be that stuttering out of sync audio was the best you could get of the Intervideo mux.

Yeah, I tried all three and settled on the Intervideo as the best working. I tried a number of Cyberlink versions and the ShowShifter.

I think ive got it converting recordings to mpeg 2. But im stuck with 2 of my files in dvr ms, using transcode in the video library does nothing. AutoDVRconvert doesnt work, it complains about pins not connecting or something...

Any ideas?

I have two muxers that I've had success in the past with. One is the muxer that comes with the Cyberlink Powerencoder and the other is the Moonlight M71 muxer which has to be done manually with graphedit.

What were the results of the ATI muxer? That's the one I currently use for ATSC recordings.

The ati mux does horrible recordings but converts to mpeg 2 decently , at least from what ive seen.

The problem is that these 2 recordings are dvr ms and i cant get them to convert, when i select transcode in video library nothing happens at all

I just record the ATSC stream in dvr-ms. What am I missing by not converting to mpg format? What can I do with mpg format that I can't do with dvr-ms format?

I play my video through a DSM-320 that supports mpg natively. My UPnP media server (TVersity) is able to transcode on the fly, but the resulting video is not as smooth due to the transcoding.
