sometimes GBPVR freezes, so I end process it in task manager.
but most of the time it will not restart without rebooting.
when I try to reboot, I get a not responding window.
it is for ".net - broadcasteventwindow 2.0.0.0.33c0..."
it is never in task manager, and the only way I can get the not responding window to pop up is to reboot.

I did a search of the net, and I found a site suggesting to uninstall .net 1.1, and 2.0, and reinstall 2.0.

I did that and didnt see the error for almost a day.
when I did that I also did a fresh install of GBPVR.

I feel certian this is more of a .net issue than GBPVR, but I just dont know what to do.

all help is appreciated.

I am attaching logs just in case there is something in there.
btw-it is on "client 1"

Have you checked your Event Viewer (system and application logs)?

Start->Run->%SystemRoot%\system32\eventvwr.msc /s

I did check that.
there were a couple errors that were popping up.
just minor errors
I fixed them all, and nothing changed.

this error was not listed there.

I saw that window once very briefly during the problems I had.
Does this sound anyway familiar: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...0&page=150 , post 1495.

I have not used the web admin for a very long time, so I am pretty sure it isnt from that.

this error has made my client 1 unusable for about a week now.
I have GBPVR in my startup folder, and by the time the machine gets to it, it is already messing up.

if I click the GBPVR icon, the hour glass icon appears for about 1 second, and goes away.

sometimes GBPVR does start, but locks as soon as the menu pops up, and the only way to do any thing is to close it in task manager.

every time I reboot I still get the .net error listed in the first post in this thread.
searching on the web tells me people get this error when using an ATI control panel, or a program that calls the browser control service.

I dont have ATI.
does GBPVR use browser control??

I dont have much to add other than to say I looked at the logs and cant see any obvious cause.

I have good news!!
I seem to have fixed it without formatting!!

long story short--
the nVidia purevideo decoder was the problem.
I changed to the dscaler decoder, and the client is now VERY stable.

the other client occasionally freaks out for seemingly no reason.
next time I use it I will change the decoder on it and see what happens.

I really do love this program!!!!
