Anyone who has skinned it before (or reven), why is there a bunch of movie information in a program plugin?

Sometimes a plugin author will re-use the skin.xml file from another one of his/her plugins and make only a few changes that are necessary. This leaves alot of headscratching and trail-error when it comes to re-skinning when finding out what is doing what.

people who use the my music plugin, does it take forever to scroll down? I was doing it with the my programs skin I am working (slowly) on, and it scrolls like molasses, channel buttons skip nice and quick. is the slow scroll designed?
also, how do you get a special image for each emulator folder? like a N64 logo instead of a folder? its not folder.jpg in the roms. anyone know the right way to do it?

you should disable the animation in config.xml. search for something like animation in the my series-section of config.xml. then scrolling should be faster.

concerning the my programs-plugin: you should ask reven in his forums. the reply is much faster there

so the my music plugin scrolls that slowly as well? its not anything to do with image sizes or whatever.

anyways, thanks for the help, I assume you approve of my attempt to skin myprograms, I dont think I actually have to do anything except make the loading screen look correct and make the two versions for glossy and flat.

yeah there is an answer there to most questions about his plugins

ok so the search guide option (comes by default) is that the same as show search? and if it is, then the skin doesnt look all that elegant on it... kinda really plain. did sub change it so much that you cant get the skin right now?

I will take a shot at skinning it when I get some time. also did you ever post that psd? and could you let me know what you have changed in the skin? so I can know what you have worked on with the skin? I am ending up having to change around a bunch of the skin files to make them work with my color scheme (the black buttons really dont go well with the black popup) like all popup buttons, and the weather city selection skin.

search guide is a basic plugin, privided by sub, showsearch is from jeff. i skinned showsearch AND search guide, but search guide is really hard to skin. try it

i haven't worked that much on the skin lately. actually i am changing a bit in the osd-section for the next gbpvr-version, thats all. i will release a new version of both, sassari and nuoro in the next few minutes. a psd will be released also. just wait a bit, i will anounce it in the forums.

the new version can be downloaded from the wiki. it contains theater plugin and weather panel. you can toggle the weather panel with the small performance app.

i am currently uploading a psd. you can download it in a few minutes.

we will see what I can do with skinning... when i get some time (maybe tonight) I am good at making things work, I suck at designing graphics and such, I am more autistic than I am artistic (and no Boston slang for it would be aahtistic, but I dont talk like that I am from upstate NY)
